The 2002 tournament is the first time the WWW became involved with
a charity organization. Please see the Heart House link
above (click on the Heart!) for the details. We owe the
success this year to a great staff of volunteers and the
generations participation from sponsors like Netflix, Fox and
Hound, Southwest Airlines and more (details here!).
Perhaps the most
remarkable thing that happened this year is that Les Smock's team
took first place net, with newcomer team Hawkeyes taking first
gross. Bless them, but the "old fogeys" finally
made it to the winner's circle. Hoorah!
